Why It Matters

Children aren't just small adults

Growing bodies move, heal and respond to treatment differently. Paediatric physiotherapy accounts for growth plates, developmental stages and a child's own understanding of pain — so care is both clinically sound and genuinely age-appropriate.

🦴

Growth-Aware Treatment

Techniques adapted for developing bones, joints and growth plates, avoiding approaches suited only to mature musculoskeletal systems.

🎯

Milestone-Focused

Assessments benchmarked against expected motor development, so delays or asymmetries are identified early rather than "grown out of".

🤝

Family-Centred

Parents and caregivers are part of every session, with clear home exercise guidance you can confidently continue outside the clinic.

😊

Play-Based Delivery

Sessions are structured around movement and games rather than clinical instruction alone, keeping young patients engaged and cooperative.

Conditions We Treat

Common concerns we help families manage

Developmental Delays

Support for delayed milestones in rolling, crawling, sitting, standing or walking, with structured programmes to build strength and coordination.

Toe Walking

Assessment and correction of persistent toe walking, addressing calf tightness and gait pattern through targeted exercise.

Flat Feet & Foot Posture

Evaluation of foot alignment and arch development, with guidance on footwear, strengthening and when review is genuinely needed.

Torticollis & Plagiocephaly

Early intervention for neck tightness and positional head flattening in infants, working closely with your paediatrician.

Growing Pains, Osgood Schlatters & Sever's Disease

Management of activity-related leg, knee and heel pain common in growing children, particularly active young athletes.

Bow Legs & Knock Knees

Clinical assessment to distinguish normal developmental alignment from patterns that warrant closer monitoring.

Balance & Coordination

Programmes for children who appear clumsy, fall frequently, or struggle with age-appropriate motor tasks.

Youth Sports Injuries

Rehabilitation for sprains, strains and overuse injuries in young athletes, with a safe, graded return to sport.

Postural Concerns

Support for scoliosis screening referrals, rounded shoulders and posture-related discomfort in school-aged children.

Care Across Every Stage

Support that grows with your child

Our approach shifts with each stage of development — from foundational motor skills in infancy through to sport-specific rehabilitation in adolescence.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

At what age can my child start physiotherapy?+

There's no minimum age. We see patients from early infancy — for conditions such as torticollis or head shape concerns — right through to adolescence for sports injuries and postural issues.

Do I need a doctor's referral?+

No referral is required to book an initial assessment. If your child has an existing diagnosis or is under a paediatrician's care, we're glad to coordinate directly with them.

Will my child find the session stressful?+

Sessions are structured around play and movement rather than clinical procedure, and we pace things to your child's comfort. Parents are always welcome in the room.

How many sessions will my child need?+

This depends entirely on the concern — a sports strain may resolve in a few sessions, while developmental support is often reviewed over a longer period. We'll give you a clear expected timeline after the initial assessment.

Is paediatric physiotherapy covered by insurance?+

Coverage depends on your specific policy. We offer direct billing with select insurance providers — reach out and we'll help confirm your child's eligibility.
